Leonie Bennett in her studio

My aim is to make fine, contemporary jewellery for everyday wear.

The main body of my work is in gold and silver, often using the two together. When the silver is oxidised the result is a distinctive contrast of black and gold. .

Over the last two years I have been exploring colour through the medium of vitreous enamel.. Vibrant blues and greens, applied to embossed silver enable me to bring a fresh contemporary look to enamel jewellery.

I have also been working on a range of contemporary earrings for non-pierced ears which are beautiful, lightweight and comfortable.

My work is quite delicate and often features assymetrical designs. Some pieces are ‘one-off’; others are produced in a limited range; all are made with meticulous care and attention to detail.
