Artist’s profile

Working from her home in Oxford, Leonie is inspired by details in nature as well as by the exquisite materials with which she works. She explores ways in which precious metals and semi-precious stones create patterns of colour and light, relishing, in particular, the warmth of tourmalines and the delicate hues of aquamarine. Shapes are often repeated in silver or gold, but no two elements are ever quite the same because each is individually cut and forged.

Leonie's aim is to produce work that delights the eye and flatters the wearer. Most of her pieces are 'one-off'; some are produced in a limited range; all are made with meticulous care by hand.
